  1. What do I do with the dried rose buds and other decorations when I use the soap?

    As these soaps are gorgeous gifts, you may want to display them for a while to enjoy their beauty and fragrance. You will, however, want to use them eventually to enjoy the gentle, moisturising feel. At this stage, we suggest that you remove the rose buds and any other decorations from the soap. The buds are easy to remove as they are pushed in by the rose stem. 

     

    As most of the toppings are natural substances, ie, dried flowers and citrus, they will eventually fade and break down, so we advise removing the decorations within six months if you don't intend to use the soaps within this period.

  2. How long do the soaps last?
    If the soaps are kept in a cool, dry place, they can last well beyond one year, although the scent will reduce over time. In order to maintain the scent, store the soaps in a cardboard box. Your Bon Savon soap will last longer if you keep in on a soap dish with slats or drain holes which allows it to dry in between uses. If left in water it will dissolve quickly.

  3. Do your soaps contain animal products and are they tested on animals?
    No, our soaps do not contain animal products and we do not test them on animals.

  4. Do you use preservatives in your soaps?
    No, all our soaps are 100% natural and therefore preservative and chemical free. As our soaps are as natural as possible, we do not use ingredients that are known to cause skin irritations such as synthetic fragrances, synthetic colours, parabens or formaldehyde.

  5. Where can I buy Bon Savon Soaps?

    Our soaps are available online from our website and at selected stores throughout Australia. Please email us at info@bonsavon.com.au and we can let you know the nearest store to you.

     

    We have also recently opened a stall at Paddington Markets in Sydney on Saturdays. We will be at the markets most weeks.

  6. Are all your soaps handmade?
    Yes, all our soaps are made, decorated and packaged  by hand which is why there are slight colour variations between batches and irregularities which makes each soap totally unique.

  7. Do you deliver to countries outside Australia?
    Yes we deliver to other countries. When you order online, there is an international delivery option which quotes the delivery cost.
